the cowboys are done

cowboys lose, the season is over.

we had it, victory was one yard away and the cowboys were about to kick for the lead in the last minutes of the game and then the "bad mojo" strikes at the worst possible time for dallas. the ball slips out of the hands of the quarterback romo. still, he makes a valiant attempt and scrambles to the endzone to score but get tackled before he made it. we lose by a point. what do i feel now: heartbreak, disappointment, anger, & optimism.

All said and done, I'm not gonna hang my head low, the cowboys played a hell of a game (especially the defense) and made seattle earn the win.

QotD: Anywhere But Here

Would you rather go back in time or visit the future?
Submitted by Auds.

Dude, I would so go back in time.

When in time would I go you ask? I'd go back to the 1950's.

For some reason I like that time in history. In my eyes, life then seemed to be more simpler and a lot more optimistic. I also really love the Art & Music of that era. What would I do when I got there, well first I would find and marry Marilyn Monroe and/or Bettie Page, then move to Milan and be a painter for the rest of my days.

Vox Hunt: Cover Me

Audio:  Let's hear your favorite cover song.
Submitted by Suzy

I found this a bit tricky because I can't say that I have one favorite cover song, but the song I choose to post tonight is the Guns N' Roses cover of "Black Leather" (originally by The Professionals). The reason I thought of this song is because of the memories (both good & bad) I have associated with it. Enjoy.

Charmain 1959

So far the new year is starting out pretty good for me. The Cowboys are in the Playoffs (even though they have lost their last few games, I still believe they can win it all) and The Mavs are on a 10 game win streak going into Seattle tonight.  For the non sports fans out there, here is a nice treat for ya. Take a look at the Sexy Artwork for January from my new "07 Elvgren Pin-Up Calender".

And finally I got a call today from my employer to come back and do some work for them. Which will be a nice change of pace for me because I'll actually be getting paid to sit in front of a computer in Dallas instead of sitting at home on my computer all day spending money on eBay, which is what I have been doing lately.

QotD: Happy New Year!

How are you ringing in the New Year tonight?

Nothing special. Me and my family just went out to dinner and later on tonight I'll just be hanging out with a friend playing video games and probably watch a movie or the Dallas Mavericks game. Right now we just created our virtual selves in "Fight Night Round 3" for the Xbox. I'm gonna hand out a beating tonight. And finally this afternoon I got my last X-mas (and favorite) gift from my buddy today, a new Bettie Page T-shirt.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

Fort Worth

We went out for my Brothers last day here in Fort Worth before he goes back up north for School. Here are a couple of shots I took while we were out in Downtown.

My Dad, Brother and Myself went and saw "Rocky Balboa" at the Sundance AMC. For anyone who is curious, its a good movie.

"Bass Hall", a performance theater.

The coaster and Beer Menu from the restaurant/bar "Flying Saucer". If you like to drink and are ever in Downtown Fort Worth, give them a visit.
