Bettie Page Saves The Day

I saw "Eragon" tonight at the "Valley View AMC". If you were planing on seeing it, don't bother. This film is a rental at best. Thank goodness it was a free screening.

However, the trip wasn't a total waste, I walked out of the Mall with two new stickers for my desk.

QotD: Top 5 in ’06 – Movies & DVDs

What are your top 5 movies/DVDs of 2006?

My favorite DVD acquisitions of the year.

Clerks II

This movie was just as funny as the original, too bad I missed it while it was playing in the theaters.

Brick

What a great indie thriller. Quite possibly my favorite movie of the year.

Some Like It Hot

 Classic comedy staring Marilyn Monroe

V For Vendetta

One of the rare "good" comic book movies.

Suicide Girls: The Italian Villa

A bunch of Hot Goth Babes + The Beautiful Country of Italy = Heaven

UnderDog

I’m Done, Thank You Internet.

On this very boring day, I took my own advice and got my all of my Christmas Shopping done online courtesy of Guess.com (for my brother, he likes to look pretty) and Barnes & Noble.com. (for everyone else, reading is fundamental).

I also stopped by a "Super Target" to pick up an RC car for the dog to chase around. No matter I long I chase him around, he never gets tired, he always manages to wear me out. While I was there, I got "Firefly – The Complete Series". Until I bought the set , I had never seen any of the episodes of the show, but I really liked the movie "Serenity", and I have heard nothing but good things about the show, So I thought "Why not?"

QotD: This Gets On My Last Nerve

What is your pet peeve, the one thing which really drives you mad?
Submitted by Beki.

One, I don't think so! Pet peeves are like women (or is it beer), you can't stop at just one. Now I will proceed to purge my black heart on some of the things that annoy me:

D.R.M., Kenny G, Slow Drivers, People Who Stink, High Gas Prices, Loosing to the San Antonio Spurs, People Who Answer Their Cell Phones At The Movie Theater, CENSORSHIP, Telemarketers, Having To Wake Up Early, People Who Don't Know When To Shut Up, Speed Bumps, Speeding Tickets, Stadiums With Corporate Names, HD-DVD vs. Blu-Ray, Political Correctness, Waving A Cell Phone Up Instead Of A Lighter At A Concert.

Vox Hunt: Victory! Not In Dallas

Show us a victory.
Submitted by dearbarbz.

For this one I'm gonna have to post last weeks pic this time because it was a loosing effort across the board for the local jock kingdom. The Stars, The Mavs, & Cowboys were all losers the past three days.  So far December is turning out to be horrendous for the Dallas teams.

QotD: Books From My Childhood

What books did you love as a child?
Submitted by hearts

Aside from various Comic Books & "Dr. Seuss", I remember I liked reading:

"The Berenstain Bears"

"Arthur"

and "Clifford the Big Red Dog" books.

There was also a series of books on the "Old Universal Monsters" books that I always got at the school libraries. And even though its not a book itself, but I used to love watching "Reading Rainbow".
