I Am Inside.

You know the Crappy feeling you get when you have to discipline a person you care for because they disappointed you.

Well today, I have that feeling.

QotD: “Fast” Food

If you were going to enter a competitive eating contest, what food would you choose to speed eat?

I think it would have to be Pizza. Although I probably would loose on purpose. Rather than just gobble it all up I'd take my time and savor it. I know that pretty much defeats the purpose of the question, but that's how it would be with me.

Now I know your probably thinking why didn't I answer "Chocolate", my absolute love. Well it's because I wouldn't survive the contest. It would be like giving crack to a crack addict.  Not only would on stuff my face full of Coco very fast, but I don't think I would be able to stop myself. After a few minutes of pleasure, my insides would explode and then I'd die. I can see the headlines now. "Here lies Pedro. Death by Chocolate".

Entertainment Weekly Has Iron Man 2

Dreaming of October.

It's official! Because of the Camaro's production issues, I'm gonna continue to be cooked alive while driving in the Geo Metro (better known as the Mobile Oven) for the duration of the Summer. As you know, my Cavalier aka "Black Sunshine" was destroyed last Spring by an idiot kid, so I've been (voluntarily) stuck in my Dads' old Metro for One year and Five months (boy it seems like it's been longer). Its over 100 degrees here in D/FW and there is no A/C in that car. And my drive to and from work is 40 min. Minimum!

Anyways, I haven't spoken much of my new car acquisition adventures as of late. I originally wanted to order a Camaro back in June, but there was some chatter of a Z28 model possibly coming soon that I decided to hold off until Transformers 2 hit theaters in early July. That's seemed the most likely time period that some sort of news on a Z28 model would have been released. Well, the news did come right after the movie hit. And it wasn't all that good. For me at least. Long story short, in an interview with "Team Camaro", a Z28 model has been developed. But most likely won't be put in to production until 2011 at the earliest.

So it's back to an SS model for me. As bad as I want a Z28, I just can't wait that long. Then yesterday come news from GM that there is a hold on "shipping" Camaro SS models with manual transmissions due to "transmission issues". Yes, this is the exact model I want. The don't specify for how long, but I'm going to assume it will be for an extended period of time. So that squashed any hope of me getting one before fall comes, ensuring that I will continue to drive in this wonderful Texas heat for a second year in a row. So now I'm just gonna tough it out and wait another 3 more months, till October. Then finally I should be putting in a order for a new Camaro. Hopefully by January, "Black Sunshine – A" will be roaming the streets of D/FW.

“If you can’t do something smart, Do something right.”

This past weekend was pretty fun. I treated my family to the Charity Screenings of "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" and "Serenity" for this years "Can't Stop the Serenity" event over at the Movie Studio Grill in Addison. With the exception of my Step Father, they are all accustomed of going to various "Geek Fests". And boy, did we Geeks show up. If there is one thing that Whedon fans are, it's Loyal. And if you've seen these two Joss creations then I don't have to tell you that both films are above awesome. You know this already. But seeing it with a crowd of fellow fans AND doing it for a good cause just makes it that much better.

The Event itself was a lot fun, besides the two movies there was a charity auction, raffle, trivia and costume contest. No surprise that the cute kid dressed as Wash won the Costume Contest. There wasn't too much singing during "Dr. Horrible", I guess we were all feeling a bit shy, or stuffing our mouths with food. But during "Serenity" there was plenty of Hootin' and Hollering. The biggest of which was Wash's line of "I am a Leaf on the Wind". The second loudest crowd moment was the reveal of River triumphant near the end of the film.

For me personally, donating to "Equality Now" was great thing to do, but my ulterior motive was was to convert the rest of my family into Browncoats. I'm pretty sure that I was successful as they all (including my Step Father) thoroughly enjoyed the two films. And to top things off, courtesy of my Mother I walked out with all three issues of "Serenity: Better Days" autographed by Joss Whedon that she won in the Charity Auction that took place after the film. Good memories for all that day indeed!

Romo to Simpson: Those boots are made for walkin

5.0

Tony Romo just became the coolest guy in the world.

For a while, everyone has been giving him flack about his relationship with Jessica Simpson. Two years ago, Romo went on vacation with Simpson during the first week of the playoffs (the Cowboys had a bye) and when Dallas played the Giants the next week, they lost. Simpson showed up at games in a pink jersey. Fans started calling her Yoko. People seemed to love hating on the QBs relationship.

Some also wondered about his handling of the spotlight. At times, he seemed more preoccupied by fame than the actual job he was supposed to perform on the field.

But finally, Tony Romo has come to his senses.

In an interview with People magazine earlier this month, Romo was asked about his relationship with Simpson. He responded with, "It's going good. We have a fun being around each other. She's a great girl. We enjoy each other's company."

That sounds like a load of crap to me. If you are in a commited relationship with someone you see a future with, you don’t respond the way Romo did. He basically said, she’s fine for now, but I can’t see myself being interested that much longer.

Romo was also asked what he got his girlfriend for her 29th birthday. Romo responded with, “It’s a secret.”

I guess he couldn’t wait, because the day before Simpson’s “Ken and Barbie” birthday party, Romo gave her the boot.

Seriously? A Ken and Barbie party? I can’t blame him for dumping her. I get that she looks like Barbie, so it isn’t much of a stretch, but dressing up as Ken would surely make his life hell in the Cowboys locker room.

It’s nice that this guy wants to be monogamous and all, but he’s the QB for America’s team. Girls ten times hotter than Jessica Simpson are probably throwing themselves at him and they aren’t looking for a commitment.

QotD: One Day. $100,000.

If you had one day to spend $100,000 – and you had to spend it totally selfishly – what would you buy?

I don't think I'd do anything too fancy. Probably just get a nice little place. Anywhere would be fine, as long as it has a nice view and a hot tube. Then I would fill that Hot Tub with Bubbles and Suicide Girls. I would host a party that lasted all day and night, of course everyone is invited. And we would all Party like it's 1999. And by the end of it all, I will be either Dead or Broke.
