Hawaiian Friday, Cajun Sunday
So far my Monday is turning out to another snore fest here at work . But I did enjoy myself over the weekend. Friday night I had dinner for the first time at "L & L Hawaiian Barbecue" and had the "Mahi Mahi Burger", which wasn't as unique as I thought. It turned out to be just a fried chicken burger that I can get at any "Chick-Fil-A". It was good, but next time I go I'll have to try something a bit more "Hawaiian". After that I got a little play time with "Mad World", the hilariously violent game for the Wii that I had gotten for my brother's birthday a few weeks back. Of what I got to play I thought it was very Funny, very Violent, and very Good. I'll have to really play it sometime soon. Then it was off to see "Star Trek" at the IMAX theater. My thoughts on the movie are pretty simple. It was AWESOME! Even if your not a "Trekkie" like me, chances are you like this movie too.
Saturday I was asleep most of the day. When I was awake I did watch the Season Finale of "Dollhouse". Then it was Game 3 of the Mavericks vs the Nuggets. Great playoff basketball as usual, there is no doubt about that. And a very physical game as well. The Refs called 60+ fouls in the game. But for some reason, they choose not to call the intentional foul by the Mavs at the end of the game, which ultimately lead to a Maverick loss. Then came the post game anger by the Mavs players and owner Mark Cuban. Boy I wish they played like they acted after loosing that game, then maybe they wouldn't be getting embarrassed like they have been for the past 3 games. That's all I got to say about that.
Sunday was a family day-trip (starting at the god awful time of 4:30am) to Shreveport, LA. The main focus being to see little Russia be "Confirmed" at the local Baptist Church my Sister and Brother-In-Law attend. After that it was off to have a Mother's Day/Dad's Birthday lunch at a Cajun Restaurant, called "Crawdaddy's Kitchen". I had a cup of "Seafood Gumbo" and the "Red Beans and Rice with Sausage" plate. The Gumbo was good as was the Rice and Beans, although I would have like it more if it was just a bit more spicier. Then it was the 4 hour drive back (which I slept through) to Fort Worth to my regularly scheduled exciting life of grocery shopping and laundry.
