Pet Owners, Please Be More Responsible

This message is for those out there who own animals, please keep an eye on your pets. For several weeks now as I have been driving around, I have seen dogs roaming freely around the neighborhoods with no supervision. Mostly they are just wandering around their yards, but sometimes I have seen them make it out of the residential areas and into the busy streets. Yesterday morning was possibly the worst case scenario yet. As I was coming up to a red light, two big dogs crossed right in front of me. I thought they were being walked, but in fact they were wandering loose. While they were in my sight they seemed to be staying off the road but the direction they were heading was to a very traffic intense road. Not to mention that it was still a bit dark and raining. I just hope someone picked them up before they got hurt.

The Top 5 Things I Really Need

5. New Headphones – My current ones still work and they sound ok, but the wire connecting the left ear bud is loose and will fall off any day now.

4. Car Repairs – I can tell by the way my engine is sluggishly preforming that my spark plugs need to be replaced. I also need to have my oil changed and my throttle sensor control may need to to repaired.  The volume on my car stereo doesn't work, so that needs to be replaced. And finally I need to get 2 new center air conditioning vents.

3. New
Phone – It's falling apart. I have had it for 3 years now and both hinges are broke. When I fold it open, it is only held together by the wires.

2. New Contacts/Glasses – I haven't had a pair of glasses and for a long time and my current pair contacts are wearing out.

1.
More Sleep – I have been averaging 5 hours for the past 2 week nows. Just last night finally I got 7 hours of sleep.

The Cowboys Finally Lose

COWBOYS LOSE! COWBOYS LOSE!

Tom Brady and the Patriots gave the Cowboys it's first loss of the season with a final of 48-27.

The Cowboys (5-1) were off to their best start since 1983 and were eager to see how they stacked up against the league's elite. Now they know they can compete, but still have a ways to go. The next 10 games will show whether that might be good enough in the NFC.

Romo avoided the turnovers that nearly upended Dallas against Buffalo on Monday night, but was out of rallies. He was 18-of-29 for 199 yards and two touchdowns, with a late interception. He also came away with a big ice pack on his left, non-throwing, shoulder.

The Cowboys were hurt by their continuing trend of slow starts and by racking up 12 penalties, including one that wiped out a fourth-and-1 conversion on the opening play of the fourth quarter. Dallas was driving for a possible tying touchdown, but wound up punting — and never threatened again.

Brady was 31-of-46 for 388 yards. His five TDs tied a franchise record and gave him an NFL record with at least three in each of the first six games of the season. However, he was sacked as many times (3) as he'd been all season; on one, he lost a fumble that Dallas returned for a touchdown.

QotD: Work It On Out

Do you have a regular workout routine?  What's your favorite form of exercise?

Yep, I sure do. As a matter of fact, I just got back home from the Gym. Ever since high school, I have been a member of a Gym. In a perfect world I would work out every day. Normally I make it 6 days out of the week. But lately I have only been to the Gym around 3 times a week because I have been so busy, and by the time I get off of work, I don't have that much energy. But I just bought some "supplements", so I should be getting back some of that end of day energy I need. And I rotate my workouts routine every time I go. The first day I will work out with free weights for my muscle training, and the next day I will do my Cardio Training by running on the Treadmill. I don't really have a favorite form of exercise. I guess you can say I like them all.

I would say that 30 percent of the reason I try to exercise on a regular basis is for vanity reasons. To be honest I really don't want to be an overweight person, I want to look healthy. And if I don't work on it on a regular basis, I will be. I still have a video game gut. And the other 70 percent is for health reasons. I remember my Aunts and Uncles at my age when I was a kid. Most of them drank a lot and smoked during that time, and some still do. And now that they are much older, they have so many health problems. Strokes, for one thing. Also a lack of energy. And they look so much older than they really are. So now that I have seen what they have become, when I get to that age, I really don't want that to be me.

QotD: NFL Surprise

COWBOYS WIN, ROMO STINKS, COWBOYS 5-0

Who has been the most surprising player so far in the 2007 NFL season?

My answer is Tony Romo (What a surprise right). But this time it isn't my regular butt kiss about how great he is, but rather the surprise on how badly he tanked on Monday Night Football vs.the Buffalo Bills, but still put Dallas in a position to Steal, yes, I said Steal a victory away from Buffalo.

Coming into Buffalo, the Cowboys were supposed to come in and completely smash the Bills. But thanks Romo's poor performance of  29/50 completed passes, 1 fumble, and 5 interceptions (2 of which were returned for touchdowns). Not to mention the one kick off return touchdown the Bills made, it seemed like they had the Cowboys number on this night. However Romo did lead Dallas to score a touchdown in the final 30 seconds of the game, but failed to make the 2-point conversion and tie the game, making the score 24-22 Bills.

Despite the fleeting hope, Dallas managed to recover the onside kick with 20 seconds left and no time outs. That's when Romo had a bit of redemption for the night by leading the Boys down field and eventually set up Rookie Kicker Nick Folk to kick a 53 yard field goal. And he did it not once, but twice to give Dallas the win with a final score of 25-24.

Next up for Dallas is the Undefeated New England Patriots.
