After the Rain Left…

When the rain started to break yesterday, a Rainbow appeared in the sky. It was quite a sight because the sky was so dark in the east and so bright in the west.

QotD: I Scream

What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?

For me it goes like this, If have to pick one choice out of the basic flavors then I'd pick Chocolate. But when I have any choice of flavor then I like the Peanut Butter 'n Chocolate ice cream they serve at Baskin-Robins.

Vox Hunt: Villainous

Video:  Show us your favorite TV or movie villain.
Submitted by Felipe Anuel.

As a kid, I wasn't really afraid of the movie Monsters or Killers (with the exception of Leatherface), so growing up I thought most them were cool and I never really hated them. In fact it was the more realistic villain I did hate, The Bully. And this group is at the top of that list.

A Few Movie Headlines.

  • It looks like the Grindhouse flop may have caused the sequel to Sin City into a long delay. "Sin City 2 is still likely to happen…just not right away." says Frank Miller. The script is written and Robert and I are raring to go, but it looks like I'm going to be doing The Spirit and Robert's going to be doing Barbarella first.
  • The latest Comic Book to head to the Big Screen is the Teen Titans. Warner Bros. have gotten Akiva Goldsmith and Kerry Foster to produce the film and Mark Verheiden will work on the screenplay. As of now the only confirmed character that will be in the movie will be Nightwing. The other characters that may appear are Superboy, Cyborg, Starfire, Beast Boy, Terra, Jericho, Raven, and Wonder Girl. Goldsmith has said that the tone of the film will be in line with the most recent DC films and will not resemble the recent cartoon series.
  • Also Coming to a theater near you is another Hercules film. The script is done and was written by Dean Hood. A Director or cast have yet to be named.
  • Todd McFarlane will be financing the script development for the long-delayed Spawn 2, which may simply be called Spawn according to Home Media Magazine. McFarlane is currently writing the script and says that the new film won’t have any ties with the first film (the disaster). He also says that the film will be darker and creepier, “I can make a spooky, suspenseful thriller that will scare the crap out of you.” No word on if this will be a direct-to-video title or not.
  • Eli Roth claims there will be no Hostel III. "I hate a lame third Sequel, and I don't want there to be one." Roth Told MTV Movies Blog.

  • On The Dark Knight front, the Warner's have announced that the movie will not only be presented in IMAX but filmed in it as well. Chris Nolan will film up to four of the films sequences with the high end cameras.                    "The marriage of footage filmed with IMAX and 35mm cameras in the final feature will have a major impact on the audience's viewing experience, whether seeing "The Dark Knight" in an IMAX or traditional theatre. When the scenes shot on IMAX cameras are shown in IMAX theatres, the aspect ratio will morph to 1.43 to 1, expanding the image to fill the entire screen and magnifying the overall effect, both literally and figuratively."                               Also included are the latest production photos from the set.

  • And now for the best and last news item of the day. From the upcoming Speed Racer movie:
Behold the Mach 5!!!

Storms Gone Wild

It was storming like a mother this afternoon in D/FW. I had my head phones on and I could still hear the Thunder. When I looked out of the window (what it looks like on a normal afternoon) when i went to eat, I couldn't even see the Dallas sky line, the storm was that thick.

Oh yeah, when I was driving through Irving on my way to Dallas, I saw the Girls Gone Wild bus parked in front of an IHOP.  If only I didn't have some where to be this afternoon I may have seen some Boobies.

Vox Hunt: So Far, So Good

Audio: Show us the best album (new or old) that you've bought this year.

As much as I love the new Kittie album "Funeral For Yesterday", I gotta say that the best album that I have bought this year (so far) has to be Rodrigo Y Gabriela's self titled album. If you are any kind of Guitar fan/lover, you have got to give their album (or Music Video) a listen. These two former metal-heads know how to shred on the guitar, you won't be disappointed.

PLAY LOUD!
