I Went To Dallas and All I Got Was A Poster.

My friend calls me up this morning a tells me that "Spiderman 3" advance screening passes will be given away this afternoon at a Dallas comic shop. So I drive all the way from Fort Worth to Dallas thinking I'm gonna score me a pass. I get there and find out they are giving away passes, but you have to win them by chance in a random drawing. When I go up to pull a prize from the "Sandman Box", I draw a Spiderman 3 Movie poster, Son of a Bitch! That poster is going straight to the trash. And the bad luck continued with my friends because they also got posters. It was Double Suckage as none of us got passes and I wasted a whole lot of gas for nothing.

Dal def GS 112-99, series tied 1-1

MAVS WIN, MAVS ARE GREAT!!!

The Dallas Mavericks bounce back at home and defeat the Golden State Warriors 112-99. It was a back and fourth game between the two teams up until the end of the 3rd quarter when the Warriors began to loose their cool. First Baron Davis got ejected from the game in the 3rd quarter, followed by Stephen Jackson being thrown out in the 4th. After Golden State lost 2 of their best players, the Mavs took over the remainder of the game with J-Ho giving an outstanding effort by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 steals. Jet Terry also came up big and scored 28 points while the German Nowitzki scored 23 points.

Here We Go Again….

It's really coming down here in D/FW. I just saw a big flash followed by a loud BOOM 2 seconds later. Personally I kinda like this gloomy weather. That is until the Floods begin, the Hail falls, and the Tornado warnings start, which they have. Thank god I don't live in a Trailer (anymore).

Mavs Drop Game 1

MAVS LOSE! MAVS LOSE!

Tonight the the Mavs open up the first round of the 2007 NBA Playoffs by losing Game One at home against Golden State 97-85. We had very weak Defensive effort with no answer for Baron Davis who alone burned the Mavs and scored 33 points. And it didn't help that the Mavs played poorly Offensively with a 35% Field Goal percentage. The German Nowitzki only had 14 points (6-14) and got no help from the bench. Just 4 bench points from Diop with none from Stackhouse. At this point it's safe to say that former Dallas coach Don Nelson knows how to beat us because this is now 6 straight losses to The Warriors.

On the plus side of things, the Stars are still in the playoffs. They have managed to tie the series 3 all and force a game 7 after being down in the series 3-1 to the Canucks.

Da News

  • Unfortunately Lawrence Fishburne will not be voicing Galactus as previously reported, but instead will be voicing the Silver Surfer. That sucks because again Dough Jones does the physical acting but gets his character voiced by another actor. And to make matters worse, it has been reported that Galactus will not be a Mega Giant like in the comics, but a Storm Cloud. Way to use your imagination guys.
  • Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will have selected scenes of the Imax version of the film presented in 3D.

  • Make room for more Hollywood Remakes. First up is the little known 1970 Sci-Fi movie Colossus: The Forbin Project. The film is about a Government Super Computer become sentient and is ready to take out mankind. Brian Grazer has gotten the rights to remake the movie and is in talks with Ron Howard to direct. Next is the remake for the 1980 film Terror Train. The movie will be written and directed by Gideon Raff. The plot revolves around a bunch of college kids throwing a party on New Years Eve in a moving Train. The only problem is a killer has come along for the ride.
  • Speaking of remakes, Kate Beckinsale has been cast as Barbarella in the upcoming film.

  • It has been 20 years now that The Simpsons have been on Television. It all started way back on April 19, 1987 when The Simpsons debuted on The Tracey Ullman Show as animated shorts. Due to its popularity it spun off  into its own series that is still running strong today and has a movie due out this Summer. Today, The Simpsons is broadcast in more than 45 languages—and is the longest-running sitcom in history, edging out "Ozzie and Harriet," which ran from 1952 to 1966.

  • Lame pics of Heath Ledger as the Joker can be found here. Its basically a grainy long shot photo of Heath with green hair.
  • And finally, here is the latest movie poster from Eli Roth's Hostel II.
