Georgia Sykes

There's no denying that Alicia Keys is a babe, but with the "Bettie Page" look and a Gun in her hand as Georgia Sykes in the film "Smokin' Aces", she's SUPER FINE!!!

If Rocky can do it, so can I.

This sun has been hiding from me. For the past few days in North Texas its been cold, raining, and dark.

I couldn't be more happier.

For whatever reason, maybe it's encoded somewhere in my DNA, or cause it's a change of pace from the normal Hot Weather and Bright Sun of Texas. Who knows and who really cares, but I feel a lot more upbeat when it's nice and gloomy. I will continue to welcome the cold weather for as long as it wants to stay.

However, I can't say that it has been all smooth sailing for me. As I leave the gym and walk outside straight into the cold is really the only time when I feel a bit uncomfortable. Now that I think about it, maybe its not such a good idea to do that cause when I do, my lungs burn and its kind of hard for me to breath. You know, in my mind training "Rocky" style seemed like something that would be easy to me, but I guess I'll have to ease in to pushing myself in the cold weather as I'm not quite used to it.

And in the Geek News, I  just got a Beautiful maquette of "Princes Leia & R2"  made by to folks over at "Gentle Giant". I've had my eye on this baby for a quite a while now so I finally glad I broke down and bought it.

Yes, I Watch American Idol

Now before I lose all my credibility here on VOX, I mean I watch the first few episodes. For the past few years now I have been watching the auditions, but after that I could care less what happens.

Now can you blame me for this, you'd gotta admit that those first few shows are the best comedy on TV. Its just so damn funny to watch all those losers "singers" suck really, really bad. Dude, and it's especially funny when they start to cry when the judges tell them they stink. And the insults the judges throw at the contestants, priceless.

Is it wrong to laugh at others misery? Nope.

QotD: It Was Me.

Ever get away with saying somebody else did it?

This incident took place years ago while my parents were vacationing in Jamaica. My brother, my sisters friend and myself all decided we wanted to see the movie "A.I." which was playing downtown and would start in 30 minutes. So we all got ready very quickly and took off for the theater. Now why we took my Parents Jeep and not my own Car, beats me. I think it was because the Jeep was brand new and had a CD player and I wanted to listen to one of my CDs on the way to the show.  Anyways, the show would be starting in a very short time and the theater was a long way so I had to drive somewhat fast.

Now here comes the retarded part. I'm so used to I driving a stick shift car, and when I want to give more power to my car to speed up, I down shift to a lower gear. Now for this reason I figured the same principle would work for a automatic, boy was I wrong. So I changed from D to 2nd gear in the jeep because I wanted to speed up a pass a car.  And by doing that the wheels locked up and I lost control of the jeep and spun out all over the road for what seemed like forever. We finally stopped after I hit the rail several times. Thank god I didn't hit another car. I was told there was a Mercedes right next to us when I lost control.

We all came out OK, I had a sore neck and a red mark across my chest from the seat belt. At the time it was no secret to anyone that I had a warrant out for my arrest (if you must know, It was for unpaid speeding tickets) and If I stuck around I was sure to be arrested. So my brother decided to stay at the wreck until the police arrived for the report while me and my sisters friend took off back to get my car to come back for my brother. So when I got back to the accident scene to pick up my brother, the cops gave him a ticket for something, I think wreckless driving or something like that.

So fast forward to when I parents got back in town, my brother still wanted to take the blame for the wreck. Why he did, you will have to ask him. So while I never pointed the finger at my brother, I have never taken the blame, which is just as bad. To this day me or my brother have not admitted that it was really me behind the wheel. In the  end , the insurance company paid off the jeep and my parents got a new Aztec. So now you and a few close friends know the truth.

My Favorite German

My Step Father scored some Mavs tickets again, this time it was "Dallas vs. Portland". As usual the "Arena In Downtown Dallas" was Electrifying, but the game itself was a bit on the boring side because Portland, in a word "Sucks". That team basically has only one good player so you could imagine this game was a One Sided Texas Ass Kicking. Unlike the last game we saw (vs.Toronto Jr. High), my favorite player (and in my opinion the NBA MVP) Dirk Nowitzki played most of the game.

My picture taking also really sucked this time around as 75% percent of the photos I took didn't come out because either they were blurry and/or out of focus. I guess I'm gonna actually read the manual for my camera so I take some good action shots during the next game I go to.

MVP
