Midnight at the Inwood Theatre – Princess Mononoke

New 35mm Print! Fri & Sat, February 13 & 14 at Midnight at the Inwood Theatre in Dallas.

Based on Japanese folklore, this spectacular animated tale tells of a war between encroaching civilization and the beast gods of the forest which threatens to unbalance the forces of nature. In a remote mountain village, Ashitaka (Billy Crudup), the last young warrior of a once-great clan, undertakes a journey to find a cure for a life-threatening curse laid upon him by a dying forest-god. Along the way, he becomes involved in the bitter fight between the Tatara clan, led by the proud Lady Eboshi (Minnie Driver), and another human tribe, with a race of forest-gods trapped in the middle. During one battle, Ashitaka meets San, the Princess Mononoke (Claire Danes), a young woman raised by wolves, who is prepared to die to defeat the humans. The Princess draws young Ashitaka into the struggle between man and nature, forcing him to try to find another way, one that will halt the endless circle of killing and create a middle ground where forest creatures and humans can live in the world in peace together. QotD: My Life In Technicolor

If you could pick a cartoon world to live in, which would it be?  Why?
Submitted by Scio, Scio.

What would I pick, hmmm. I watch so many toons on television now its hard to pick, "The Simpsons", "Spongebob", "South Park", "The Batman", ect.. But I think I will look past the T.V. cartoons and go for an anime pick and choose the world of "Spirited Away" because it's such an imaginative universe I think I would have a lot of fun there.
