Today I came across another pleasant discovery while "working". I can tell you that I not much of a "Hipity Hop" fan, but I really enjoyed these Kanye West videos. Apparently he's a Sci-Fi nut and had a few of his songs mixed into some Sci-Fi Movie Classics that include "Akira", "Tron" and "2001". Of the three videos out there, I liked "Good Morning – 2001" the most.
Thought I'd share on of my latest and current internet addictions that shockingly isn't porn. I'm talking about a Flash Game called "FlTron2.0" and is based on the Light Cycle game from the movie "Tron". I don't know why, maybe because the concept is so simple or its a childhood thing, but I can't get enough of this game. I have beat all 6 levels, which took me 10 consecutive tries/lives. To date, only 4.something percent of all players have beat all 6 levels, (thats what it said when I beat it) and I guess that kind of makes me feel special. But the next challenge is to beat all six levels under 5 tries to reach the 7th "Omega" level.
This sort of reminds me of back in the day, when I was in the 7th grade to be exact, there was an arcade at the local community club house. One of the arcade games they had was "Tron". I used to play that game so much that eventually I had my three letter initials, PED (or PLJ, I not really sure anymore) on all top 10 scores entries. That is until one day, when the club house was closing, the owners set the games in free play mode. That must have set the game on super easy because in one try a kid shattered my high score. I was too busy doing something else that evening that I never did get a chance to play that game. And you guessed it, the very next day the game was gone. That's one of those little things (even if its a bit silly) that bugs me to this day.
